KSRTC Deploys 2,300 Additional Buses for Dasara Travel in Karnataka: Services Across the State

This year, over 2,300 additional buses will operate from Bengaluru to various destinations within the state and for interstate connectivity to manage passenger rush and ensure a joyful festive experience.

For the Mysuru Dasara Festival, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has arranged extensive transportation services for the convenience of passengers within Karnataka and from other states. This year, over 2,300 additional buses will operate from Bengaluru to various destinations within the state and for interstate connectivity to manage passenger rush and ensure a joyful festive experience.

Bus Services:
KSRTC will deploy various bus categories, including Karnataka Sarige (Express), Rajahamsa, Sleeper, Airavat, Airavat Club Class (Multi-Axle), Ambari Club Class, and Pallakki Sleeper.

Bengaluru to Mysuru: 260 additional buses.

Mysuru and Surrounding Areas: 400 extra buses to tourist and religious destinations like Chamundi Hills, KRS Dam/Brindavan Gardens, Srirangapatna, Nanjangud, Madikeri, Mandya, Malavalli, HD Kote, Chamarajanagar, Hunsur, KR Nagar, and Gundlupet.

Total: 610 special buses for Mysuru Dasara.

Special Tour Packages:
One-day tour packages from Mysuru (October 3 to 15) and a package tour from Bengaluru to Srirangapatna-Kallahalli-Melukote (starting May 31). Book tickets via KSRTC’s official website:

Fly Bus Service:
KSRTC’s Fly Bus will operate from Kempegowda International Airport to Mysuru. Additionally, 150 extra buses will serve within Mysuru city, and 350 buses will operate from rural divisions. About Mysuru Dasara:
Mysuru Dasara, Karnataka’s state festival, is a 10-day Navratri celebration honoring Goddess Durga’s victory. Rooted in the Vijayanagara Empire’s traditions, this year’s festival runs from September 26 to October 5, concluding with Vijayadashami. Key attractions include exhibitions, cultural programs, and the iconic Jamboo Savari procession.
