New Delhi, September 21, 2025 – Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Saturday criticized government departments for their routine practice of filing appeals against court orders, even when they are legally sound. Speaking at the 10th All India Conference of Central Administrative Tribunals (CAT), Meghwal urged a reform in this mechanical approach to appeals.YOHO Bubbles Men Ortho slippers | Soft comfortable and stylish flip flop slippers for Men in exciting colors |Lightweight | Anti Skid | Daily Use Chappal
He highlighted that officials and departments habitually challenge every order as a matter of course. "Even after the concerned officer retires, the next incumbent informs the government that there is no need to file an appeal," Meghwal noted, emphasizing the need to correct this entrenched practice and revisit the tendency to mechanically file appeals.
