Mysuru: Speaking in Mysuru, BJP MP Yaduveer Wadiyar alleged that the state government's socio-educational caste census is a conspiracy to divide Hindu society. He claimed the Congress government is using this census as an attempt to encourage conversions.
During a press conference at the BJP office in Mysuru, MP Yaduveer Wadiyar stated that the state government’s caste census is intended to break up Hindu society. He accused the Congress government of rushing the census to provoke conversions and attempt to divide the Hindu community.
Commenting on the statewide caste survey set to begin tomorrow, he questioned the timing. "Government officials are busy during Dasara. How is it possible to get accurate data at a time like this?" he asked, adding that a door-to-door survey would be impossible. He also pointed out that the original report by the Kantharaju Commission was never made public. "Is it possible to complete a report in just ten days? Why is this survey being conducted during the busy Dasara season?" he questioned. Svayambodha and Shatrubodha: Hindu View of Self and the World Hardcover – 30 April 2025
Wadiyar also claimed that the survey has included Hindu sub-castes along with the Christian community. "We have brought this to the Governor's attention and demanded that all these sub-castes be excluded," he said. He emphasized that the state government has embarked on a mission to divide Hindu society and that the BJP will fight against it. He also took a jab at the government, mocking that it could not even fix potholes but was willing to spend hundreds of crores on a caste census.
BJP MLA T.S. Srivatsa, City President L. Nagendra, Media Convener Mahesh Raje Urs, former Mayor Shivakumar, and other leaders, including Giridhar, were present at the press conference. Also Read: Illegal Online Betting and Money Laundering Case: Cricketer Robin Uthappa Appears for ED Probe...!!!
