Karachi (Sept 22, 2025): At least 30 people, including women and children, were killed in an airstrike by the Pakistan Air Force on Monday in a village in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to reports. The attack, which took place around 2 a.m., involved JF-17 fighter jets dropping LS-6 bombs on Matra Dara, a predominantly Pashtun village, causing widespread destruction. Local media stated the airstrike targeted Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) hideouts, but all casualties were civilians. The province, bordering Afghanistan, has seen a surge in terrorist activities recently, prompting multiple military operations. On September 13-14, at least 31 TTP militants were killed in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Terrorist activities have significantly increased in Pakistan, particularly in provinces bordering Afghanistan.
