Bengaluru, Sep 24: On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, it is our collective duty to worship and honor the power of women. The elders and women in our families are a source of inspiration in everyone’s lives, said Dr. Ram Prasath Manohar, Chairman of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).
Speaking at the grand “Women’s Dasara – 2025” event organized by BWSSB and the BWSSB Employees’ Association at the Silver Jubilee Hall, he emphasized that Dasara symbolizes strength. It is an occasion to honor the destruction of evil forces and to respect the women in our homes—mothers, grandmothers, and elders.
He urged everyone to educate women and bring them into the mainstream, stating that Dasara represents feminine power and Navratri serves as an inspiration for all. Sharing a personal note, he said, “Three women have filled my life with strength. The first is my mother. During my birth, her womb was at risk, and doctors told her that her child might not survive, but they would ensure her safety.
She insisted, ‘Even if I die, my son must live,’ and saved me. Later, my sister and my wife became the other sources of strength in my life.”The event was attended by BWSSB Employees’ Association office bearers, officials, and staff.
