BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has issued a stern warning following a recent clash over a flex board in Carl Marx Nagar on Betur Road, Davangere. Addressing the controversy, Yatnal launched a fierce attack on those involved, cautioning them "not to test our patience."
The clash reportedly centered on the placement of a flex board near a place of worship. Yatnal questioned the objections, asking, "What is the problem if a flex board is put up in front of a mosque?" Yatnal went on to recall a controversial statement he had previously made, referencing a seer who had spoken about the sacredness of cow dung ash (vibhuti). Yatnal reiterated his own provocative response to that seer, recalling, "In that case, go around applying ash made from pig and dog dung."
Casting suspicion on the motives behind the Davangere conflict, the MLA rhetorically questioned the nature of those involved. "Who are these messengers of peace that are bombing the world? Who were the ones who threw stones in Maddur?" he asked, suggesting underlying agendas were at play in the recent friction.
