The Karnataka state government has issued orders appointing new chairpersons for 34 corporations, boards, and authorities. There were some discrepancies in the initially released list, but Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made certain amendments and gave final approval to the list sent by the AICC.read also: Davanagere Banner Controversy: 8 Arrested..!!

As per the order issued on September 26, the newly appointed chairpersons will serve in their positions for a term of two years. Although not included in the original list sent by the AICC, CM Siddaramaiah, at the last moment, appointed Congress spokesperson Niketh Raj Maurya as the chairperson of the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). Out of the 39 names provided by the AICC, CM Siddaramaiah approved 34.
