  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi: Expressing grief via X, he stated, "The tragic incident at a political rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, is deeply distressing. My thoughts are with the families who lost their loved ones. I pray for strength for them in this difficult time and wish for a speedy recovery for those injured."

  • Vijay’s Response: "My heart is breaking, and the pain is unbearable," Vijay wrote on X, offering condolences to the families of the deceased. He has returned to Chennai, where police have tightened security around his residence.
