A skywalk on National Highway 75 (NH-75), the Bengaluru-Tirupati highway, near Kolar is reported to have collapsed after being struck by a truck from Jharkhand near Kondarajanahalli. Although the skywalk fell onto the truck, preventing major casualties, the incident caused massive traffic congestion, resulting in a three-kilometre-long traffic jam. The collapse of the major skywalk occurred on the National Highway that passes through Kolar. The incident took place around midnight on the outskirts of the city on NH-75 (Bengaluru-Tirupati National Highway), leading to a significant snarl. According to eyewitnesses near the Anjaneya Temple in Kondarajanahalli, the collapse was triggered when a truck bearing a Jharkhand registration hit the structure. The skywalk fell directly onto the truck, which is credited with preventing a major disaster. Immediately following the collapse, a traffic jam extending for about 3 kilometres formed. Local residents reportedly attempted to assault the truck driver.
