Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 kicked off grandly, with 19 contestants entering the house. Among them is actress and Kannada activist Ashwini Gowda, who has earned recognition through her roles in over 100 films and 25 serials.
Born and raised in a family with a political background, Ashwini later ventured into the entertainment industry. After establishing herself as an artist, she actively participated in Kannada-centric activism. Previously, when Rupesh Rajanna entered the Bigg Boss house, it was speculated that Ashwini Gowda might receive an invitation this time as both an artist and an activist.
In an interview, Ashwini Gowda had said, "I haven’t received any call from the Bigg Boss organizers. But if I were to go, why shouldn’t a Kannada woman participate?" She clarified that only family matters could emotionally affect her, nothing else.
"I’ve come to the Bigg Boss house this time to show people who the real Ashwini Gowda is," she stated in her video. Additionally, on the stage in front of Sudeep, she declared, "As a courageous activist, I’ve chosen Bigg Boss to play with Kiccha’s spark."
In a recent YouTube channel interview, Ashwini Gowda spoke in detail about her personal life, film career, and activism. She shared insights about her grandfather’s property and how her father developed it, along with details of her family life. She also gave a home tour, explaining various aspects of her life.
Regarding her family background, Ashwini Gowda said, "We come from a large family. My father had three wives, and together, we are about 500 people. My father, Munibachappa, was a former president of K.R. Puram and also served as a corporator in Jagadish Nagar. Ours is a family with a political background, and I am the only one who has made a mark as an artist."
Despite her political roots, she clarified that she hasn’t aligned with any political party due to her involvement in Kannada activism. "My father ventured into real estate 30-40 years ago. He developed several layouts and owned significant property," she said.HALDEN BURLEY Belts For Men Leather Original (Adjustable Fits Up to 44 Inch Waist) Ratchet Straps, Unique Magnetic Auto-lock Buckle Branded Belts For Men Leather Original
"Some land was acquired by HAL and BEML. My father built the Kempegowda layout, and our area is even named Munibachappa Colony," Ashwini Gowda shared. "We have rented out around 100-150 small houses. With property comes legal battles, and there are some issues we need to resolve."
"When my father was alive, he entrusted me with many responsibilities. Since my brother is younger, he wasn’t given as much responsibility. Including property disputes and activism cases, there are about 22-23 legal cases. Most of my time each month is spent addressing these. We own three acres of land, where I’ve built a temple for my father," she explained.
