With several sugar factories in the district burdened by debt, the minister highlighted the need to clear ₹220 crore in loans while fulfilling farmers' aspirations and prioritizing employee welfare. The process to appoint a new chairman will commence soon. Channaraj Hattiholi, who has been active in the cooperative sector for the past 15 years, will continue to play a significant role, she added.

Promises made to farmers will be fulfilled, and with six to seven years of administrative experience, the factory aims to clear sugarcane supply payments within 10-15 days. The goal is to earn the trust of all stakeholders and manage the factory as per the panel’s guidance. Hattiholi also assured timely salary payments to workers and employees.
