India’s victory in the Asia Cup final against Pakistan was remarkable. However, the trophy was supposed to be presented by Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Due to a prior militant attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, the Indian players opted not to engage in friendly handshakes with the Pakistani players and deemed it inappropriate to accept the trophy from the PCB chairman, who also serves as Pakistan’s Interior Minister.

However, the trophy was supposed to be presented by Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Suryakumar Yadav Donates Earnings to Pahalgam Victims and Soldiers:
Captain Suryakumar Yadav announced that his entire earnings from the tournament, totaling ₹28 lakh across seven matches (₹4 lakh per match), would be donated to the victims of the Pahalgam attack and Indian soldiers.


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also declared a prize of ₹21 crore for the Indian team and support staff for their unbeaten run and victory in the T20 Asia Cup in Dubai.Despite Mohsin Naqvi traveling from the USA to Dubai to present the trophy, the Indian team’s refusal to accept it was perceived as a blow to his and the PCB’s prestige.
