In such a sensitive time, Hombale Films stated that it is inappropriate to conduct promotions for Kantara Chapter 1. Therefore, the scheduled film promotional event in Chennai has been cancelled, as announced by the production house through an official note.
Promotional events for Kantara Chapter 1 were planned in Bengaluru, Kerala, and Hyderabad. The plan was to conduct promotions across four states over four days. However, the Chennai promotion has been postponed.

The film is set to hit screens worldwide on October 2. Premier shows will take place a day earlier, on October 1. Currently, the Chennai promotion has been postponed, and Hombale has assured that it will be rescheduled at an appropriate time.
The production house has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and solace to the injured. Even though there is no promotion in Chennai at present, the team has promised to organize events there in the coming days.
Kantara Chapter 1 is slated for release across approximately 7,000 screens pan-India. It will be screened in multiple languages, including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
For the first time, the film has been dubbed in Spanish and will also grace screens abroad. Produced at a multi-crore budget, the film has already garnered positive responses from audiences.
Ticket bookings began in Karnataka on September 26, and a significant number of tickets have already been sold. This has further heightened expectations for the film.
