A shocking murder case has unfolded in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, where a 16-year-old pregnant girl allegedly stabbed and killed her 20-year-old boyfriend, who had impregnated her, before fleeing the scene. The incident took place on September 27 at a lodge on Station Road in Raipur. The police have identified the deceased as Mohammad Saddam, a Bihar native and an engineering student at a Raipur college.

According to the preliminary investigation, Saddam and his 16-year-old girlfriend checked into the lodge on September 27. CCTV footage captured both entering the room, but only the girl was seen leaving the lodge alone on September 28. When neither returned the next day, the lodge staff grew suspicious and informed the police. On September 29, Ganj police used a duplicate key to enter the room and found Saddam’s body lying in a pool of blood.

Saddam had approximately five stab wounds on his neck, back, and other parts of his body, indicating a violent altercation. The scene suggested a heated argument had occurred between the two. After the murder, the girl locked the room from the outside, threw the key onto railway tracks, and fled to Bilaspur by train. She later confessed the crime to her mother, who took her to the local police station, where she was handed over to the authorities. According to the girl’s statement to the police, she was pregnant with Saddam’s child, and the two had frequent disputes over marriage. During an argument at the lodge, Saddam allegedly threatened to kill her. Fearing for her life, she attacked him with a knife around 3 a.m. while he was asleep, resulting in his death. She also took Saddam’s phone, which the police later recovered.As the girl is a minor, Bilaspur police handed her over to Raipur’s Ganj police for further investigation.
