Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara has instructed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to swiftly conclude the investigation into the Dharmasthala case and submit its final report as soon as possible.Speaking to media representatives in Bengaluru, the minister stated that the government has decided to obtain the SIT’s final investigation report at the earliest.
Instructions have been issued to the SIT to complete the entire investigation process expeditiously.Currently, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report is still awaited, and new evidence has been sent to the laboratory for analysis. However, the SIT is continuously carrying out its tasks, the minister clarified. The SIT has been directed to finalize all aspects and submit the report promptly.
The minister emphasized that the SIT has been instructed to wrap up the investigation as quickly as possible. The SIT will also include details of the dismissal of Chinnayya’s Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court in its report. Responding to queries about the non-arrest of Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, the minister stated that he has not yet discussed legal hurdles in this regard. He emphasized that any action taken must remain within the legal framework. Timarodi has challenged the externment order in court, and the outcome of this challenge is awaited.
