The discussion around Bengaluru’s infrastructure has taken a new turn. Recently, IT companies raised concerns about the city’s pothole-ridden roads and inadequate infrastructure. Seizing the opportunity, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh invited companies to relocate to his state.Tweets from Black Buck CEO Rajesh Yabaji and entrepreneur Mohandas Pai had put the Karnataka government on the backfoot.
In response, the Congress-led Karnataka government promised swift action to fix potholes and provide better infrastructure for IT firms. Subsequently, Rajesh Yabaji clarified that his company would not leave Bengaluru. However, the infrastructure debate didn’t end there. Nara Lokesh reignited the conversation with another tweet, prompting a sharp rebuttal from Priyank Kharge.
What Did Nara Lokesh Tweet?
An X post by user Kristin Matthew Philip claimed that due to the deteriorating Outer Ring Road, several startups and companies are shifting toward North Bengaluru and Whitefield. Responding to this, Nara Lokesh wrote, “Yes, it’s slightly better in the North. If you come further north to Anantapur, it’s even better. Priyank Kharge’s Retort
Priyank Kharge hit back at Nara Lokesh’s tweet with a biting response: “It’s natural for weaker systems to try and draw sustenance from stronger ones—there’s no fault in that. But when such attempts reach a point of desperation, they reveal more weakness than strength.”
