BMRCL Good News: Fifth Train Prepares for Yellow Line Operations

The new coaches, supplied by Titagarh Railway Systems Limited, arrived in Bengaluru on September 19.

A fifth metro train has arrived from Kolkata's Titagarh for Bengaluru's Yellow Line, connecting R.V. Road to Bommasandra, with trial runs starting today. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced that this train will soon begin operations on the Yellow Line.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this route on August 10. Initially, with only four trains, services operated every 19 minutes. Post-assembly, the train will undergo 20 days of testing for signaling, telecommunication, and power supply systems, as per BMRCL.For the R.V. Road-Bommasandra route, 15 trains have been allocated, with five delivered so far. One more train is expected this month, and two in November, with one or two trains arriving monthly thereafter. Once all trains are operational, the Yellow Line will have trains every 5 minutes, matching the Green and Purple Lines.
