Earlier, in connection with this case, the ED had seized 92 sites worth ₹100 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). In total, assets worth ₹440 crore have been seized by the ED.

Bengaluru, October 06, 2025: The Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allocation scam has created a major uproar in Karnataka's political landscape, causing significant trouble for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. It has now been confirmed that MUDA officials were involved in the irregularities. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized 252 illegally allotted sites valued at ₹440 crore. The ED, intensifying its investigation, uncovered that 252 sites were illegally allocated. Of these, 32 sites worth ₹40.8 crore, registered in the name of former MUDA Commissioner G.T. Dinesh Kumar, have been seized. Dinesh Kumar had acquired these assets under his family members' names. Recently, the ED arrested Dinesh Kumar, who allegedly created fake documents to reallocate sites for profit. In 2022, G.T. Dinesh Kumar assumed the role of MUDA Commissioner. However, following allegations of irregularities in site allocations under the 50:50 ratio scheme, the government transferred him. Earlier, in connection with this case, the ED had seized 92 sites worth ₹100 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). In total, assets worth ₹440 crore have been seized by the ED.
