The accused, Hemant, an actor, director, and producer of the film Ritchi, has been named in a complaint filed by a reality show winner and rising actress. Following the allegations, Rajajinagar police arrested Hemant on October 6, 2025, and he has been placed in judicial custody. According to the complaint, Hemant met the actress in 2022 and cast her in Ritchi, promising a remuneration of ₹2 lakh, with an advance payment of ₹60,000. However, during the filming process, which dragged on for days, the actress grew frustrated with delays. Hemant allegedly pressured her to wear revealing outfits and perform in inappropriate scenes. She further accused him of behaving inappropriately on set, including unwanted physical contact.On August 5, 2023, under the guise of a promotional event in Mumbai, Hemant took the actress to a press conference where he allegedly spiked her mocktail with alcohol and recorded private videos without her consent.

The actress also claimed that Hemant threatened her with goons when she resisted his advances.After the film's completion, Hemant issued a cheque for payment that bounced, leaving the actress unpaid and further enraged. Additionally, he allegedly posted uncensored explicit scenes on social media to blackmail her and tarnish her reputation.
