UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in India's financial capital, Mumbai, today for a two-day visit, leading what has been described as the largest ever trade mission from the UK to India. Prime Minister Starmer, who arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), was accompanied by a large delegation comprising over 100 business leaders, university vice-chancellors, and cultural figures. The visit underscores a significant push for enhanced economic and trade exchange between the two nations, following the landmark Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed in July.

The two-day visit is expected to bolster economic ties, solidify trade, and strengthen diplomatic relations between the UK and India. Prime Minister Starmer is scheduled to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (October 9) at 10:00 AM.
