Kanakapura (Oct 9): A horrific incident of murder took place in the Bhadragowdanadoddi lake area under the jurisdiction of the Kanakapura Rural Police Station. A person was brutally killed with sharp weapons. The deceased, identified as Chiranjivi (25), hailed from Hemmigepura village in Kengeri Hobli.

He was previously arrested in a murder case under the Thalaghattapura Police Station and was out on bail. After leaving his native village, he was residing at his wife’s parental home in Pichanakere village. On the night of October 7, some miscreants attacked him with deadly weapons and fled the scene. Last week, Chiranjivi, in an inebriated state, had a dispute with friends near Bhadragowdanadoddi village, which is suspected to be the motive behind the murder. District Superintendent of Police Srinivas, Additional Superintendent of Police Ramachandrappa, and Rajendra visited the crime scene for investigation. A case has been registered at the Kanakapura Rural Police Station, and Rural Circle Inspector S. Vikas is leading the investigation.
