In a case involving the rape and murder of a minor girl from a balloon-selling family, the police have successfully arrested the accused, who had initially fled the scene. The incident took place in Mysuru, where the accused, involved in the rape and murder, had escaped to Kollegal. During the arrest, the accused, identified as "Psycho" Karthik, attempted to attack the police with a beer bottle. In response, Vijayanagar Police Station Sub-Inspector Jai Keerthi shot the accused in the leg to subdue him. The accused is currently receiving treatment in a hospital. The sub-inspector’s decisive action has garnered widespread appreciation from the public.
