Karwar: Lokayukta officials have been conducting an intense operation since Tuesday morning against L.P. It has come to notice that Naik's uncles reside in his ancestral home in Chandavar, Kumta, Uttara Kannada district, where intense searches have also taken place. Lokayukta officials have detected that the Uday and Vaibhav buildings owned by L.P. Information about assets disproportionate to known sources of income is coming to light during the verification of various documents, and there is expectation that this operation will bring new vigor to corruption control in the state.
