Chasing a modest target of 121, India resumed on Day 5 at 63/1 and efficiently knocked off the remaining 58 runs.
Opener KL Rahul was the architect of the successful chase, scoring a composed unbeaten 58. He partnered with Sai Sudharsan (39), building a crucial 79-run stand for the second wicket that took the team to the brink of victory.
While West Indies off-spinner Roston Chase managed to claim the wickets of Sudharsan and captain Shubman Gill (13) in quick succession, the deficit was too small for the visitors to defend.
