Zupee Studio, which recently pivoted from an online gaming platform to the entertainment sector, has achieved a milestone by recording 10 million downloads on the Google Play Store in just one month. The application is now being touted as India's fastest-growing short-form digital entertainment application.

Zupee Studio, India's new short-format content platform, has successfully entered the entertainment space, achieving the 10 million download mark on the Google Play Store within a single month of its known presence. While originating as an online gaming platform, the app now boasts a diverse library of quality micro-dramas, ranging from one to three minutes in length, offering engaging content across genres like action, thriller, romance, and comedy. This move into entertainment reportedly follows the imposition of a complete ban on all forms of online money-based games under the 'Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025,' which came into effect last month, while still allowing the promotion and regulation of e-sports and other non-monetary online games.

Zupee Studio is also said to have a strategic partnership with JioCinema, focusing on distribution and user engagement. Commenting on the achievement, Govind Mittal, the company’s chief spokesperson, stated that crossing the 10 million download mark so rapidly is a significant milestone in the growth of Indian entertainment and validates the vision for digital content consumption.
