BS Yediyurappa POCSO Case: High Court Reserves Order on Challenge to Cognizance

Senior advocate C.V. Nagesh, representing Yediyurappa, argued: "The trial court should have stated that it took cognizance solely based on the victim's statement. It failed to do so. A coordination bench had directed the trial court to reconsider the case afresh, which was also not followed. The trial court judge did not exercise proper discretion while taking cognizance."
