Bengaluru, October 25: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar conducted a public outreach meeting in Bengaluru on Saturday morning, where he attentively listened to citizens' grievances. Addressing concerns over opposition to the Lalbagh Tunnel Road project, he firmly clarified that the initiative would cause no harm to the iconic Lalbagh Botanical Garden.

He explained that during the construction phase, approximately one acre of land would be temporarily utilized, which would later be restored and transformed into a park upon completion.In a pointed response to MP Tejasvi Surya's vocal opposition, Shivakumar asserted that building an underground tunnel in Bengaluru is an absolute necessity.
