Bengaluru: The 'Rasabhi' dance festival, jointly organized by Presidency University and the Odisha Dance Academy, has successfully introduced the richness of Indian art and culture to the younger generation. Held under the Ministry of Culture's 'National Presence' scheme, the event aimed to promote cultural vibrancy in educational institutions through captivating performances of Odissi and Kathak dance forms.

Guided by Padma Shri Dr. Aruna Mohanty, this two-hour visual extravaganza was a collaborative triumph with the Odisha Dance Academy, founded in 1975 by Guru Gangadhar Pradhan. The academy has been at the forefront of teaching and promoting Odissi dance and music both nationally and internationally.The festival, staged in Bengaluru, unfolded in the presence of the city's renowned classical artists, including Mysore B. Dance ensembles delivered mesmerizing performances featuring Jagannath Sahasranama, Gatha Odisha, Pallavi, and Kathak sequences. Dr. Aruna Mohanty, serving as the academy's current secretary and creative director, provided visionary leadership to the program. Expressing delight over the collaboration, Presidency University's Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nissar Ahmed commended the Government of India's initiative for fostering diverse Indian culture among the youth. He highlighted how the event serves as a vital step in strengthening the integration of arts and culture within educational institutions.
