Hindu organizations had inquired through an RTI: Whose tombs are these? Have the bodies of Sadhus, saints, Muslim religious leaders, or Peers been buried? In response, the Inam Dattatreya Gram Panchayat provided a written reply stating that they possess no information or documents regarding the tombs. Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Ranganath commented on the matter, stating that the Gram Panchayat's reply has given significant strength to the struggle of Hindu organizations. Datta Peeta is a religious center strictly for Hindus, and there are no Muslim traces there. Just as there was a conspiracy behind the excavation at Dharmasthala, a similar conspiracy has occurred at Datta Peeta. The 30-year-old Datta Peeta controversy is likely to take a new form now.
