Cabinet Reshuffle on the Horizon: Siddaramaiah Gears Up for High Command Meeting in November!

As the Congress government approaches its 2.5-year milestone, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stated that he will decide on the cabinet reshuffle based on guidance from the party high command. He will attend a major party event in New Delhi on November 16 and brief the leadership on the state's administration and developments.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has hinted at expanding the cabinet after the government completes 2.5 years in November. Speaking to reporters in Belagavi, the CM revealed that the Congress high command had suggested a cabinet expansion four months ago. However, he had informed them that the reshuffle would take place only after reaching the 2.5-year milestone.

After the Congress government hits the 2.5-year mark, I will discuss this with the high command and proceed according to their guidance, Siddaramaiah clarified. Regarding his visit to New Delhi on November 16, he mentioned that he is heading there for the release of a book by party veteran and senior lawyer Kapil Sibal. On this occasion, I will also meet the party high command.

It is our duty to apprise them of the state's administration and ongoing developments, the Chief Minister stated. He added that the Karnataka Legislative Assembly's winter session is likely to be held in December. With the government nearing its 2.5-year completion, buzz around the cabinet reshuffle has intensified, sparking heightened political activity within the Congress camp. https://dv7jujfts4bjf.cloudfront.net/Untitled design - 2025-10-24T080142.136.png_2025-10-24T02:32:24.619Z

This has turned into a platform for statements and counter-statements, and following the Bihar election results, state politics is expected to take another turn. While one faction firmly believes a reshuffle is imminent, another anticipates a leadership change. Caught in the middle are some neutrals who are indifferent to who leads, as long as their positions remain secure. Meanwhile, a few are anxious about losing their ministerial berths.
