Many women overlook menstrual issues, thinking irregular bleeding, skipped periods, or severe pain are normal. But medically, these aren't ordinary; there could be underlying causes. Drawing from her personal story, Sangitha Bhat emphasizes that ignoring them can lead to bigger health risks.
Sangitha recently opened up about her health struggles. For months, she faced frequent irregular periods accompanied by intense pain. Initially, doctors dismissed it as common, and her family believed the same.
But Sangitha felt something was off. She insisted on tests like scanning, which revealed a 1.75 cm fibroid in her uterus—the root of all her troubles, as confirmed by doctors.
To treat it, she underwent a 'Hysteroscopic Polypectomy' procedure. Recovery time varies, she notes, and fibroids can recur, potentially requiring lifelong management.Columbia Mens Hatana Max Outdry Hiking-Trekking Shoe Green
This condition can disrupt cycles, cause excruciating pain during periods, weight gain, and hair loss. "Some women miss periods for months, others get them multiple times a month with heavy pain," Sangitha says. "Many ignore it, but diet-related toxins might trigger hormonal imbalances—don't brush it off."
The exact cause is unknown, but estimates suggest 1 in 10 Indian women face this. Sangitha delayed surgery for her film Kamal Shridevi, released on September 19, but it became unavoidable.Producer Drunk and Forced a Lip Kiss... Hand Inside Shirt, Showed Vulgar Behavior! Though scared, support from husband Sudarshan gave her strength. The minimally invasive surgery uses a small device inserted into the body to remove the fibroid without major incisions.
"Countless women suffer silently. Don't neglect it—it could turn cancerous or hinder pregnancy, as it grows in the uterine lining," Sangitha warns, raising awareness for early detection.
