Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao Alleges Massive 'Vote Theft,' Says Congress Lost Bengaluru Central Due to Fraud!

Had vote theft not taken place, Congress would have won from the Bengaluru Central constituency, said Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao. Speaking after launching a ‘Signature Collection Campaign’ in the city today for protecting voters’ rights, he expressed outrage that in several constituencies fake voters are being created, thereby murdering the values of democracy.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has ignited a controversy by claiming that the Congress candidate would have won the Bengaluru Central constituency had there been no "vote theft" (voter fraud). He made the statement today while launching a 'Signature Campaign for Voters' Rights' in the city, strongly alleging that fake voters are being created in several constituencies to undermine democracy.

Gandhinagar Campaign Launch -

The Minister inaugurated the 'Signature Campaign for Voters' Rights' against "Vote Chori" at Sunrise Circle in the Gandhinagar constituency. Addressing the gathering, he accused the Election Commission (EC) of inaction despite being presented with documented proof of fake voter lists.

"We have submitted documented lists of fake voters to the Election Commission, but no action has been taken yet," Minister Gundu Rao stated. He questioned why the EC is delaying the process of deleting these fraudulent votes. Specific Allegations of Voter Fraud -

Gundu Rao specifically highlighted the scale of the alleged fraud:

Bengaluru Central: He reiterated that a Congress MP would have been elected from Bengaluru Central if the fraud had not occurred, claiming that 11,200 fake voters were present in the constituency.

Mahadevapura: The Minister made a sweeping accusation that the BJP government came to power by creating over one lakh fake voters in the Mahadevapura constituency and securing votes from them.

Chikkapete: He also mentioned that Congress workers have identified thousands of fake voters in the Chikkapete ward.

Targeting the BJP and Election Commission -

The Minister termed the entire process a "complete massacre of democracy." He criticized the BJP, stating, "It is regrettable that the BJP has turned the Election Commission into its puppet, created non-existent voters, pushed aside constitutional values, and come to power through 'vote chori'." He further added that the BJP using constitutional bodies as their 'vote bank' is highly condemnable.

Gundu Rao also referenced Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, stating that he has elaborately demonstrated the issue of voter fraud with evidence to the country, emphasizing that the situation is a cause for national anxiety.

Call for a Signature Movement -

The signature campaign aims to "wake up the officials who are sleeping with a black cloth over their eyes." The Minister issued a strong appeal to citizens:

"This signature campaign is underway across the country. We have set a target to collect over one lakh signatures from our Gandhinagar constituency alone. I urge all voters to participate and sign to protect our democracy and rescue the nation from vote theft."
