Anil Kumar Bolla, a 29-year-old Indian national residing in Abu Dhabi, has made history by winning the largest lottery prize ever recorded in the UAE. Bolla secured the massive jackpot of 100 million AED (approximately ₹240 crore) in the 23rd Lucky Day Draw held on October 18.
The monumental win was celebrated by the UAE lottery organization, which shared a winner's interview video on its official X account. The post highlighted that "October 18 changed Anil Kumar's life completely," capturing the moments where he was presented with the traditional check amid a shower of gold confetti.
Detailing his approach to choosing the winning ticket, Anil Kumar explained that he did not use any specific strategy. "I opted for the 'Easy Pick' option, but the last number on the ticket turned out to be my mother's birthday date," he stated.
