In the petition filed by Ambani, he had requested the court to direct the bank not to conduct a personal hearing until all relevant documents were provided to him. The plea argued that proceeding with the inquiry without full disclosure would cause "severe prejudice" to the petitioner. Advocates Zarir Bharucha, Dhwani Gala, and Rishi Thakur, appearing for IDBI Bank, opposed the petition, arguing that it was not maintainable. Bharucha further stated that Anil Ambani was given several opportunities for a personal hearing but failed to avail them.
