The Kaginele Development Authority has approved the implementation of various projects at a cost of 34 crore rupees. In addition, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed the organization of the 'Kanaka Utsav' annually in Kaginele.This decision was taken during the 13th meeting of the Kaginele Development Authority held at Vidhana Soudha.

The Chief Minister has instructed the formulation and implementation of programs in collaboration with the authority and the Kanaka Study Chair. Preparations should be made to organize the Kanaka Utsav every year in Kaginele. Siddaramaiah advised that programs reflecting the ideal lives of the district's philosophers should be arranged during this festival.

The authority should take steps to conduct programs continuously by establishing a corpus fund. Additionally, he has directed the formulation of plans to increase the authority's revenue.Various project implementations to develop Kaginele, the karmabhumi (land of deeds) of Kanakadasa, and Baadagram, his janmabhumi (birthplace), as tourist centers were presented for approval in the meeting.

These places are located in Badagi Taluk of Haveri District.The meeting also decided on the construction of an indoor sculpture gallery in the Kanaka Museum, as well as the construction of the Chennakeshava Temple, its mantapa, gopura, and arches.On the same occasion, decisions were also taken to construct the Kadaramandalagi Venkateshwara Temple, a community hall, and a cultural center.
