Uttar Pradesh, October 30: In a tragic incident, a young man who rushed to his girlfriend’s house fearing her marriage with someone else, was brutally beaten to death by her family members in Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in Maudaha area of Mahoba district. Ravi, the victim, was first tied to a tree by the girl’s family and continuously assaulted. Later, villagers reportedly joined the attack. Even though Ravi begged for water while severely injured, he was denied any help and succumbed to his injuries, sources said.

After realizing that Ravi had died, the attackers panicked. The girl’s uncle, Pintu, allegedly attempted suicide to escape murder charges. Police were informed and both Ravi and Pintu were rushed to a community health center. However, doctors declared Ravi dead on arrival, while Pintu was shifted to the district hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, on learning about Ravi’s death, the girl slit her throat with a knife in an attempt to end her life. She remains in critical condition and is currently undergoing treatment. Family members have claimed that it was Ravi who first attacked Pintu. The incident has created tension and fear within the village. Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
