Bengaluru (Nov 01): The Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission’s social and educational survey, which began on Sep 22, concluded on Friday, collecting data from 6,13,83,908 individuals. The commission had estimated the state’s 2025 population at 6,85,38,000, but only 6.13 crore people participated. 4,22,258 families refused to provide information, while 34,49,681 households were either vacant or locked, preventing enumeration, as stated by the commission’s member-secretary in a release.

Online option open till Nov 10: Although door-to-door enumeration ended on Friday, those who missed it for various reasons can self-declare their details online till Nov 10 via https://kscbcselfdeclaration. karnataka.gov.in.
