Bengaluru (Oct 31): In a shocking incident at Virat Nagar, Bommanahalli, a gang of transgender individuals brutally assaulted their former associate, Sukanya, in a display of mob fury. The group shaved Sukanya’s head and subjected her to savage violence.

Enraged over Sukanya leaving their team to join another, the gang led by Preeti and Chinni abducted her from KR Puram in an auto-rickshaw, brought her to Bommanahalli, and unleashed the attack. Despite Sukanya pleading with folded hands, the mob used a rolling pin, a ladle, and other objects at hand to beat her mercilessly. The assault was live-streamed via video call to another transgender person, and the clip has now gone viral. Following the incident, Bommanahalli police registered a suo moto case and arrested 7 transgender individuals.
