In the last ten years, terrorism in the country has been effectively countered. A major terror incident occurred on July 1, 2005, and another in 2013. Since then, the entire country has remained safe from terrorist attacks.Individuals involved in terrorist activities have been arrested, explosives seized, and despite active adversaries, fortunately, no terror incidents have taken place.
Left-wing extremism has reduced to 11% of the areas compared to 2014. More districts previously affected by Naxalism have been declared secure. In 10 years, terrorism has been brought under control—a success for India’s security system.
