Ballari: Amid the celebrations of Kannada Rajyotsava, the Ballari district administration has taken a significant decision. From today until November 7, all cinemas in the district—including permanent, semi-permanent, temporary, and video theatres—must mandatorily screen only Kannada films.

Speaking on the matter, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad N. Zubeir stated that this directive has been issued to promote Kannada language and culture as part of the Rajyotsava joy. On October 31 and November 1, decorative lighting on all cinema buildings is mandatory. During this period, both new and classic Kannada films can be screened to attract audiences.
