New Delhi: Continuing the nation's tax reform measures, the simplified two-slab GST (5% and 18%) system implemented by the Government of India has strengthened economic growth. The primary reason for this revenue growth is the surge in festival demand and consumer spending. The total GST collected in October stood at ₹ 1.96 Lakh Crore. The reformed GST system has provided relief to ordinary citizens and simplified compliance for businesses.
