Bengaluru: In the Chitradurga Renukaswamy murder case, the court has scheduled today’s hearing for framing of charges against the accused. All the accused, who will appear in person before the court today, are expected to be informed about the charges filed against them.

The remaining accused will appear through their lawyers.

Lawyers have already advised the accused on how to respond to the judge’s questions. They have been informed that the charges against them include murder, intent to commit murder, kidnapping, destruction of evidence, and criminal conspiracy.

During the hearing, the judge will read out the sections mentioned in the charge sheet. At that time, the accused are expected to state that they have not committed any wrongdoing, as per their lawyer’s instructions. When the judge reads out the charges and asks whether they plead guilty or not, it remains to be seen whether they will accept or deny the charges. Lawyers have also advised that if any of the accused plead guilty, the judge may directly pronounce the punishment. Therefore, they have been instructed to remain calm, understand the judge’s questions carefully, and respond accordingly without haste.
