Coimbatore: In connection with the gang-rape of a female student near Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore Airport, the police shot at and arrested three main accused. The incident has caused widespread outrage across the country.

Details of the Case:

Following the incident, the police launched an intensive operation to track down the accused. It is reported that when the police attempted to arrest them, the accused attacked the officers and tried to escape.

Given the escalating situation and for self-defense, the police fired at the legs of the three accused. The accused, who were injured by the gunshot, were immediately admitted to the hospital and were arrested after receiving treatment.

Due to this swift and decisive action by the police, the accused have been taken into custody. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
