The powerful jolt caused people in Vijayapura taluk and nearby villages to rush out of their homes in fear. Locals reported hearing a massive explosion-like sound followed by the ground shaking. In recent days, minor tremors have been occurring intermittently in the border areas of Vijayapura and Kalaburagi districts, heightening public anxiety.

No Casualties or Major Damage: As of now, there are no reports of loss of life or significant property damage. The State Disaster Management Authority and seismologists are closely monitoring the situation and have urged the public not to panic.
