A powerful explosion was reported in the basement of Pakistan's Supreme Court building in the capital, Islamabad, on Tuesday. The incident left 12 people injured, with four sustaining serious injuries. Security personnel immediately rushed to the scene, and all government buildings have been placed on high alert.

Cause of the Explosion-

Preliminary investigations suggest the explosion was an industrial accident caused by a gas leak from the air-conditioning unit. Authorities have ruled out a terrorist attack or bomb blast. However, eyewitnesses provided a conflicting account, claiming the blast was caused by a gas cylinder explosion near the court’s canteen.

Damage: The blast caused damage to some sections of the court complex, and several employees suffered minor injuries.

Security and Aftermath -

The powerful explosion caused panic among court staff, who evacuated the building immediately. Residents in the surrounding area were also frightened and fled the scene.

Security forces quickly cordoned off the court area. While the incident caused widespread fear, officials confirmed that it was not a terrorist attack but rather a technical failure leading to an industrial accident.
