In a chilling daylight robbery, a notorious couple exploited the pretext of delivering an invitation card to break into a home in Neruluru village, Anekal taluk, and flee with nearly 200 grams of gold jewelry. The brazen theft occurred on Tuesday afternoon (assumed around Nov 6) at approximately 2:30 PM.

The incident targeted the residence of Ravikumar and Nagaveni in Neruluru village. With Ravikumar away at his private company job, his wife Nagaveni was home alone—a vulnerability the thieves quickly spotted and capitalized on.The ruse began when a woman, clutching an invitation card, entered the house and requested water. As Nagaveni headed to the kitchen to fetch it, her male accomplice slipped inside unnoticed. They then dragged Nagaveni into a room, bound her hands and feet, and held a knife to her throat to intimidate her. Under duress, she revealed the key to the bedroom locker.

Rifling through the locker, the duo made off with around 200 grams of gold ornaments before vanishing. Once they fled, Nagaveni managed to phone a friend for help.
