Bengaluru, Nov. 10: G. Dhananjaya (59), a school teacher from Nelamangala in Bengaluru, has been arrested on charges of submitting fake medical documents to fraudulently obtain funds from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF). Under the pretext of helping patients in need of urgent treatment, Dhananjaya collected sensitive information from them, including Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, and personal records.

He then used this data to create forged hospital bills and medical certificates, submitting applications for relief funds to the Chief Minister's Office at 'Krishna'. After the relief amounts were approved, Dhananjaya reportedly took a commission of ₹50,000 from each patient. Dhananjaya was not acting alone in this scheme. The investigation has revealed the involvement of several other individuals from Bengaluru Rural district, including Kyathan, Jayamma, Yashodamma, and Chandrashekar, whose names have surfaced during questioning. Authorities are continuing their probe to dismantle the entire network and safeguard the relief fund from further misuse.
