Under the leadership of Janata Dal (Secular) Belagavi District President Shri Shankar B. Madalagi, a tractor rally proceeded to Bailhongal, where a protest was held in front of the Sub-Divisional Officer's office. It was further announced that an all-night sit-in dharna would be conducted today.

Bailhongal (Belagavi): Recently, Janata Dal (Secular) Belagavi District President Shri Shankar B. Madalagi had led a protest alongside sugarcane farmers against the state government. In a similar vein, Shri Shankar B. On November 10, 2025 (Monday), villagers from Doddawad, Nanagundikoppa, Budarakatti, Sangreshkoppa, Yadalli, Gudakatti, and surrounding areas in the Bailhongal Assembly Constituency of Belagavi district demanded that the government procure hesaru (green gram) and uddina (black gram) crops at the newly established procurement centers. They also urged the government to announce compensation for hesaru and uddina crops damaged by rains.
