Nithari Killings: Accused Surendra Koli Acquitted in Final Case; Supreme Court Orders Immediate Release!

In connection with the Nithari serial child murder cases, including the case involving the murder of a 15-year-old girl, a total of 13 cases have been acquitted. In light of this, the accused, Surendra Koli, has been ordered to be released, as there is no need for any further trial against him.

In a major development concerning the notorious Nithari serial killings, the Supreme Court of India has acquitted convict Surendra Koli in the final remaining case, which involved the murder of a 15-year-old girl.

Koli was already acquitted in the previous 12 cases related to the 2005-06 tragedy. With all 13 charges cleared, the Supreme Court has ordered his immediate release, stating he is not required to face any further trial.

The bench, comprising Chief Justice B. R. Gavai and Justices Surya Kant and Vikram Nath, delivered the judgment.

Acquittal Based on Lack of Evidence -

After 15 years, all cases related to the Nithari killings have concluded. The Supreme Court's decision to acquit Koli was based on the lack of crucial evidence. OPPO K13x 5G 6000mAh and 45W SUPERVOOC Charger & AI (Sunset Peach, 128 GB) (6 GB RAM)

The court noted that the initial conviction in this mysterious case relied heavily on a statement and the recovery of a single kitchen knife, which the bench found insufficient. The judgment prioritized the curative petition heard on October 7, stating that given the lack of evidence and Koli's acquittal in the other cases in 2023, the final conviction must also be overturned.

Background of the Nithari Massacre -

The Nithari killings came to light in 2005-06 in Nithari village, Noida (Uttar Pradesh), near Delhi. The case involved the alleged sexual assault and serial killing of young girls and children.

The two main accused were Moninder Singh Pandher (the house owner) and his domestic help, Surendra Koli. They were accused of committing the crimes, dismembering the bodies, and disposing of the remains.

The investigation was launched by the CBI after human remains and bones were found near Pandher’s house in December 2006. The current acquittals have brought the controversial case to an unexpected end. Also Read: Bihar Assembly Election 2025 - Exit Poll Results Released
