NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited the Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital in New Delhi to meet the victims injured in the powerful car explosion that took place near the Red Fort on Monday evening..

"In the recent attack near the Red Fort, officials have reported that at least 13 people were killed and more than 30 others were injured."

The visit took place shortly after the Prime Minister returned to the capital from his two-day state visit to Bhutan. Hospital Visit: PM Modi spent time at the hospital, interacting with the injured survivors and enquiring about their health and the medical care being provided.

Vow of Justice: Following the visit, the Prime Minister took to social media to assure the nation, stating: "Visited LNJP Hospital and met those injured in the Delhi blast. Praying for their speedy recovery. The conspirators behind this attack will be brought to justice!"

Background: The blast, which occurred near the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening, resulted in multiple fatalities and numerous injuries, triggering a high-level security alert across the National Capital Region (NCR).

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has officially taken over the probe into the incident, which is being treated as a terror attack, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah having already directed officials to "hunt down each and every culprit."
